Outstanding Business Growth Award – Northwestern Mutual
Northwestern Mutual is a leader in the financial services industry. Founded in Wisconsin over 160 years ago, it is one of the world’s most admired FORTUNE 2021 companies and continues to demonstrate financial strength with total assets of $ 309 billion.
Northwestern Mutual had a monumental 2020, significantly exceeding the previous year’s revenue, total surplus, and total assets. During a time of uncertainty, they managed to achieve revenues of $ 31.1 billion and break records with $ 2 trillion in life insurance protection and $ 230 billion in client investments.
Their impressive list of accomplishments doesn’t stop there. They are an organization committed to giving back to the community through the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, which has donated more than $ 400 million since its inception in 1992. The Foundation’s efforts are nationally focused on childhood cancer cure; and locally about education, neighborhoods and making Milwaukee a great destination. In addition, they remain committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion through a new $ 100 million impact investment fund, announced in 2021.
Northwestern Mutual’s exceptional growth, resilience and commitment to their policy owners, team and community are among the reasons they were shortlisted for this year’s ACG Wisconsin Award for Outstanding Business Growth.
